I asked Kuiper what his New Year’s resolution is this year, and he said it is “to get this sword out of this hecking stone so I can be king??” After reminding him that we live in a representative democracy, he revised it to “get this sword out of this hecking stone so I can be president??” I promised him that if he manages to extract the sword, I’ll work on getting us tickets to the 2020 Iowa caucus. ?
I was listening to a podcast the other day that suggested having New Years “intentions” rather than “resolutions.” With an “intention,” you’re less likely to beat yourself up or give up completely if you end up skipping a day, etc. I really liked that idea!
What’s your New Years intention? Ours is to train a bit every day, even if it’s right before bed. A little bit here and there really adds up! Happy New Year!
